Summer is finally beginning to surface here, and boy are we excited! Friday we had a pizza picnic at the park. Without the wind, it would have been a great temperature... we had to wear light sweaters, but the sun was still shining and it felt great to soak it up. We ended up running into one of our friends and her baby and stayed out there talking for 2 1/2 hours!
Ben wasn't feeling good all day Saturday (poor guy!). So he just stayed inside and tried to work on homework while I got to take pictures of my first photography client! Well, the first that was going to pay, anyway. hehe. It was a lot of fun... but a little intimidating! I've already seen a lot of improvement in my work, and I can't wait to see the continued progress! =)
Sunday afternoon we got to spend a few more hours at the park. Ben still wasn't feeling very good, but he was starting to do better. I got to try out my tripod for about the 2nd time ever... it was fun. I was trying to take some pictures of our family, I'm sure it looked hilarious as I got up, looked at the picture, pressed the button, sat back down (quickly, I might add! lol), etc, etc. I ended up getting some cute shots. It's so fun experimenting with the different colors and settings. Anyyyway....
Our little man is learning SO much! Just in the last week he has started walking around things, attempting to fold his arms for prayer (SOOOO CUTE!), sign "all done" and "please". When Jacob was first born, I felt so happy. I didn't think I could love him anymore, or get any happier. Apparently, I was wrong. With every mile stone Jacob reaches I feel more and more excited for him! Much like being married, you just love them more and more with time. =)
We are getting SO excited for the summer break! We can't wait to spend time with our amazing families. Just a few more weeks!
Laura
